Francesco Fortunato, a 29-year-old Apulian financier from Andria, won the bronze medal in the 20 km march at the European Athletics Championships in Rome.
The’gold se l’è won by Sweden’s Perseus Karlstrom, with a time of 1h19’13”, the’silver è went to Spain’s Paul McGrath (1h19’31”).
Fortunato crossed the finish line in 1h19’54” and for Italy è so far the fifth medal in two days in the home continental event.
