Italian cycling celebrates, on Tuesday, the top of the Tour of Switzerland classification that Alberto Bettiol è good to take at the conclusion of the third stage of the Helvetic race, from Steinmaur to Rüschlikon of 161.7 km. Bettiol è the leader of the Tour of Switzerland with a total time of 7 hours, 39 minutes and 20 seconds. He is followed, in second position 6 seconds behind, by Britain's Ethan Hayter of Ineos Grenadiers, the Dutchman Wilco Kelderman of Team Visma-Lease a Bike and the runner-up of today's stage, Stephen Williams.
Born in 1993, Alberto Bettiol has been riding for EF Education-Easypost (with the various name changes over the years) since 2019. In his career he boasts a success at the Tour of Flanders (2019) and one at Milan-Turin (2024), as well as a stage in the 2021 Giro with finish in Stradella.
