European Championships in Belgrade, Italy closes artistic swimming competitions with two silvers
Filippo Pelati and Sarah Maria Rizea won silver medals in the mixed tech final at the European artistic swimming championships in Belgrade, the final day of competition in the discipline. Rizea and Flaminia Vernice previously finished sixth in the women’s technical duet.
Pelari and Rizea finished in second place just one point behind Spanish pair Dennis Gonzalez Boneu and Mireia Hernandez Luna, gold medalists. Third place for Great Britain with Beatrice Crass and Ranjuo Tomblin.
Beatrice Andina, Valentina Bisi, Beatrice Esegio, Alessia Macchi, Giorgia Lucia Macino, Marta Murru, Carmen Rocchino and Sophie Tabbiani then won in turn silver with 254.7354 in the free program final. Gold to Greece (270.1980), bronze to Great Britain (219.0228).
