Udinese has made its choice. After politely saying no to Cannavaro’s confirmation, top management has decided to target Runjaic, a German coach of Croatian descent, who, for the past two seasons, has coached in Poland, Legia Warsaw to be precise.

This is the official press release from Udinese: "Udinese Calcio è is pleased to announce that it will be coach Kosta Runjaic who will lead the bianconeri next season. Trained in Germany, Runjaic has been able to offer modern, proactive and high-intensity soccer, always attentive to the growth of young talents, showing great communication and adaptation skills to the different technical and tactical needs of his teams. Qualities that led him to win, in the last two years in Poland, a National Cup and a Super Cup. Now the coach will have the chance to show his qualities in Serie A with Udinese. A context of excellence in an increasinglyù globalized soccer, where knowledge of international realities represents an experiential".

The official presentation of the new coach of the Friulian club è has been set for June 18. For the 1951-born coach this is, without a shadow of a doubt, the biggest chance of his career. Little known to insiders, he actually showed very proactive and effective soccer with Legia Warsaw. Udinese hopes that he can repeat himself in the complicated Serie A.
