SMC Motorcycle School, it’s time for “Open Day – First Folds”

SMC Scuola Motociclismo organizes a series of appointments where fun  and amusement, combined with method and safety,are assured for the youngest: the “Open Day – Prime  Pieghe”, in collaboration with the Italian Motorcycle Federation. SMC Scuola  Motociclismo, in fact, on five occasions will open the doors of its headquarters in  Grandate (Como) free of charge to children between 5 and 8 years old (reserved for those who are not è already enrolled in SMC) who  can thus  put themselves to the test on minimotos, in sessions of 30 minutes each,under the  expert guidance of SMC Instructors and dressed with a complete safety kit. 

The first date of the “Open Days – First Folds” è Sunday, July 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will be repeated then on Monday, Aug. 26, Sunday, Sept. 15, Sunday, Oct. 13 and Sunday, Nov. 3. A’chance to get to know and approach the world of SMC, School that wants to be first and foremost a place of aggregation and growth for all motorsport fans. The program of the “Open Day – First Folds” provides for the formation of classes of 6/8 children, divided into sessions of 30 minutes each, and è structured as follows: initial brief by the Instructors, presentation of the bike and provision of the safety kit (suit, helmet and gloves), basic rider settings on the bike, management of controls with limited throttle advance, braking and driving tests.

Registration for “Open Days – Prime Pieghe” è is free of charge and includes rental of the minimoto and full safety kit (suit with protectors, helmet and gloves). The course will be held in the presence of a dedicated instructor. Comfortable clothing (to be used as underwear) and sneakers are recommended. SMC Scuola Motociclismo welcomes students  of all ages  and motorcycling levels: from the nursery of very young riders who cultivate the dream of professionalism (“pilotini” who run the Italian Velocità Junior Championship), to motorcyclists on 
road who want to increase their level of road safety, to amateurs and professionals who want to improve technique and style to perform on the track. SMC è was founded in 2015 by 5-time world champion Jorge Lorenzo and his father Chico, and over the years has seen champions such as Jorge Martin, Joan Mir and Tony Arbolino train on its tracks. Today it boasts 5 locations and almost 20 thousand students throughout Italy.

Safety, method and technique are the ingredients at the heart of every student s growth path and the foundations on which SMC Instructors work every day. Here s’teach the most modern techniques of riding with an established and easy-to-learn method of training for everyone, through the’use of «small-wheel»motorcycles, minimotos for children and pit bikes for adults.
