The paths of Pallacanestro Trieste and Ariel Filloy part, after an exciting season in which the experienced basketball player was one of the protagonists of the return of the “biancorossi” to Serie A.

Through the words of General Manager Michael Arcieri, the Julian society paid tribute to the player and the man who wore this year's tank top number 5.

"On behalf of Cotogna Sports Group, our entire team and staff, our fans and sponsors, and the entire city of Trieste, I would like to express our immense gratitude and admiration to Ariel and his wonderful family" he said. 

"Ariel possesses all the characteristics of a champion and è an inspiration to anyone who loves and plays the sport. His humility, his desire to always put the team first, his great desire to compete, to take and score the most important shots and to win, his tireless work ethic, his willingness to sacrifice and his deep love for his family and teammates make him a role model for all of us. We are champions today because we had #5 on our side. We wish Ariel, Silvia and Tommaso only the best that life and basketball can offer them. Regardless of what jersey they wear, they will still be 'Red-White forever!'" added Arcieri.
