Italy, Spalletti shoots straight: "Trust us"

Italy technical commissioner Luciano Spalletti speaks on the eve of the decisive Euro 2024 match against Croatia: "It would be a mistake to think that a draw is enough for us. It has to be managed. We have to do our best moment by moment to be at peace with our conscience".

Spalletti shoots straight with his ideas despite the knockout with Spain: "You can make changes by inserting players with different characteristics, but the game plan does not change and we want to play the game. I am more calm when we have the ball and more agitated when the opponents have it".

The coach expresses optimism: "I am very satisfied with what I see in the locker room. There'è a great group that you can trust. The guys participate emotionally in the event and always want to show that they are united and willing to help their teammate. They have the right attitude. I have been through a few situations like thatì more than them, but they also have the skills to live through these extreme challenges".

On Croatia: "I expect it with 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, then as the minutes go by they will be more willing to have a duel to the death because they need the win.  They will be forced to get unbalanced and play like they did with Albania"
