Wimbledon: Andy Roddick speaks out on Jannik Sinner, Alcaraz and Djokovic
Former U.S. tennis player Andy Roddick to Tennis Channel tried to make a prediction about the upcoming Wimbledon, kicking off next week. Jannik Sinner won his first title on grass last week while Carlos Alcaraz after Roland Garros è was defeated at Queen's. Novak Djokovic remains an unknown given the condition of his knee.
"I still say that Novak Djokovic in good health è the best player on grass in the world. I don’t think enough is said about him. Obviously we don’t know how he is, health è a big problem. So for that reason I put Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz as co-favorites for this title".
Sinner clearly has all the spotlight on him as world number one: "Before this week, Alcaraz was probably the favorite. But Sinner has now èearned this spot. His transformation from world number one è began at Wimbledon last year and è continued in the summer".
"He is moving very well on grass, and that should scare everyone else", Roddick assured.
