Lance Stroll renews with Aston Martin
Following the official announcement of Pierre Gasly's contract renewal with Alpine, Aston Martin has also announced an important renewal. The British stable, in fact, has made known the multi-year extension by Lance Stroll, who will remain in F1 until at least 2026.
"Aston Martin Aramco and Lance Stroll are pleased to confirm a’contract extension that will see Lance race in the new F1 rules era of 2026. Lance has played an important role in the Aston Martin project since è joining the team in 2019. He has more than 150 F1 starts to his credit, with three podiums won. With this extension, the team’s line-up will remain unchanged for the third consecutive season, thus bringing continuity " this is the statement issued by the stable.
"I am happy to have decided to stay with the team for 2025 and beyond. It's amazing to see how far we have come in the last five years; we have grown so much as a team and there's still a lot to do" these are the warm statements of Lance Stroll.
On the renewal of the Canadian driver, in conclusion, also expressed himself team principal Mike Krack: "We are pleased to confirm Lance’s future with Aston Martin. He has played a key role in building the team. His technical feedback, along with his commitment to simulator work, has contributed to the continued development of the car each season. Having an unchanged line-up with Stroll and Fernando è a great foundation to continue working on our ambitions".
