Ferrari turned off in pit lane, Charles Leclerc dejected: ‘I don’t know why’
Another day ended in a bad mood.
Charles Leclerc tenth in sprint qualifying for the Austrian Grand Prix, in a bitter Friday again for Ferrari and especially for the Monegasque driver. Determining his poor position was a new technical problem with the SF-24, about which the person concerned confirmed at the end of the day that he still had no information.
Leclerc in fact did not è manage to contest the last launched lap, the decisive one of SQ3. The reason è was the sudden shutdown of his Ferrari when he was still inside the pit lane. "I cannot say what happened, I only know that I was in the pit lane and it è triggered the anti-stall. At that point, then, it è turned off everything", explained the Ferrari bearer to the microphones of 'Sky Sport'.
The reasons for this setback, as mentioned, are yet to be determined. "The team assured me that when he returns to the pits we will discuss it. Now, as soon as I got out of the car, I immediately came to talk, and right now I really cannot say what happened. The fact remains that Ferrari was not particularly competitive here, certainly forò we could have done better than tenth place. We are disappointed, but we will try to have a good Sprint Race tomorrow and come back moreù forward".
In any case, the impression remains that Ferrari is inferior to the Red Bull of Max Verstappen (once again ahead of everyone), but not only that. In fact, the two McLarens and George Russell’s Mercedes also finished ahead of Carlos Sainz, who was fifth after not experiencing any kind of problem.
