Ducati, Pecco Bagnaia feels at the top in Austria
Ducati centaur Pecco Bagnaia to Sky commented positively on Friday’s practice session of the Austrian GP, which saw him dominate pre-qualifying by setting the Spielberg track record: "We are happy because we managed to do what we had in the program. As I had said on the eve of the race, this track suits my riding style and the Ducati".
"In the afternoon we made another step forward in terms of setup and with the medium tires, which I think are the best compounds, I had a good feeling“.
The feelings are very positive ahead of qualifying and Saturday’s sprint race: "In FP1 we had to manage the tires available for that I lapped a lot with the softs, although the front was very unstable. The times even in those conditions were good and that gives me additional confidence. In pre-qualifying we focused on balancing to get the weight off the’front and we are close to an ideal situation".
