The words of Coach Eccheli

Officially starts again today, Monday, August 19, the’adventure of Vero Volley Monza, ready to face a new season that will see it engaged at the highest level of national volleyball and, for the first time in the history of the Consortium’s men’s first team, also in the CEV Champions League.

Under the orders of confirmed coach Massimo Eccheli and his renewed staff, 12 players met at the Opiquad Arena in Monza, although for some of them the preparation had already resumed last week, with some training sessions also in the pool and on sand. Of the group that will face the sports year, Moscow, Juantorena and Averill are still missing, excused absentees who will join their teammates in the coming weeks.

"We start today with a different group than the one that ended last season,” explained Eccheli. “We are all also curious to see what work we can develop together and to see how competitive we can be in the events we go to play. For sure, expectations are high if we take last year’s results as a reference, and we have to consider that a new cycle opens with a renewed team. We have a work program that initially, at least for the first two weeks, will be clearly characterized by a great attention to athletic conditioning, to, then, try to present ourselves able to play at our best already in the first competition that awaits us, the SuperCoppa”.
