Claudio Ranieri has no intention of retiring
After the adventure in Cagliari, he wants to get back on track
In Cagliari, he performed yet another miracle. Ranieri, 72, does not yet feel ready to leave, for good, the bench and, therefore, soccer. In a lengthy interview with La Repubblica, he explained his will to get back on track soon, perhaps to coach a national team.
"In Cagliari I closed a circle, è it was the perfect ending. Forò some desire there&39;è always, who knows. I certainly won't ever be a TV commentator, I just don't feel like it. I have already said it, as the very last thing I would like to coach a national team", his clear words.
No intention of "stealing" the post from current Italy coach Spalletti. Ranieri is aiming for "another national team". Who knows; the proposal could come even close. There are several soccer federations that would gain a lot from having Ranieri as CT.
In the meantime, the Premier League winner with Leicester is enjoying the sea, talking about how much he likes Parma and responding politely to the question about the Scudetto race: "L'Inter è l'Inter. Thiago Motta seems to have caught Juve off guard right away, plus he has yet to throw all the big guns into the mix. I am really enjoying Vanoli’s Toro, a vertical team like few, and I am waiting for Napoli, becauseé Conte if he doesn’t come first he comes second, especially if he doesn’t have to make the cups".
