Ducati betrayed by tires: Pecco Bagnaia furious
The anger is not è only over a withdrawal that could weigh so heavily.
Pecco Bagnaia in Misano è retired with seven laps to go in the Grand Prix of Emilia-Romagna, an episode that could weigh heavily in the hunt for the MotoGP title. The Piedmontese now finds himself at -24 from Jorge Martin while also having to thank teammate Enea Bastianini, who overtook the Spaniard on the last lap. At the end of the day, forò, the mood è blackest.
"I am furious, this è my state of mind – Bagnaia complained to the microphones of 'Sky Sport' -. For me it was a perfect weekend, in which I had won the Sprint Race, won the pole position and started the race with a good start and the first position. Then I had to slow down, I couldn't push anymore. I lost three seconds and got passed. Then at some point the tire behind started working, and I was by far the fastest on the track".
While in anger, però, Bagnaia made it clear that he had nothing specific to complain about with Michelin: "I don't resent them. I cannot be angry with someone who does something not on purpose. I am convinced that even they cannot say what è happened, forò I am still very annoyed".
The result è a delay in the rankings from Martin that Bagnaia acknowledges as a potentially very heavy factor going forward. "I missed another chance to be leader of the standings. And this è a great, great pity", stressed the Ducati bearer.
