Matteo Berrettini warned Jannik Sinner in an interview in which he also retraced the joy of winning the Davis Cup: "The last months, the last years, the injuries, the times when I couldn’t get on the court passed me by. The feeling of clutching the cup and my teammates è it was special".

The Roman tennis player, former world No. 6, has already set the next goal of his career, which involves Sinner himself: "I was lucky enough to play with and against the best in the world, Jannik, which stimulates us to do better and better. The goal è to get closer and closer to him, and I believe that next year is the good one", è the message that Berrettini sent to the South Tyrolean.

"In 2023 after the last point the first thing Jannik said to me è was: sooner or later I want to win this cup with you. But we are slightly competitive and we won it back right away", he reminded TG1 Berrettini.

"Now I have to rest a little bit’ then after this week we have a tight period. Forò this year has given me so much awareness of my level", concluded Berrettini.
