Pecco Bagnaia seems to have given up, after the’umpteenth disappointment in a Sprint Race and another Saturday ended with 0 points on the books. The crash at Le Mans could have the heaviest consequences in his chase for a world championship that seems increasingly in the hands of teammate Marc Marquez. And at the end of the day, the Ducati’s Piedmontese rider is clear about the problems that are gripping him.

“This’year I don&#8217t feel good with the front, and this is certainly not a secret – explained Bagnaia to ‘Sky Sport‘ -. From this problem also stems today&#8217s fall. The problem is that I can not feel what happens on the front. We also checked the data to try to explain it, but it is difficult to get anything useful out of it”.

Bagnaia’s worry stems from the fact that he doesn’t feel he made a mistake enough to justify his Le Mans crash. “Nothing happened that was too different from other laps. Maybe the tire was still cold, but we can’t tell. What I do know is that I had not forced it, but I still crashed. By the way, we were doing well over the weekend and I probably could have even finished second. Unfortunately, that”s what happened, was Bagnaia”s reflection.

There is therefore a question of what is wrong with his relationship with this year&#8217s Ducati. “The bike is similar to the 2024 bike, but similar doesn–t mean it–s the same,” Bagnaia noted.

Marc has the most evolved Desmosedici GP25 ever, it also has a new chassis that we will try later. Apart from a few details, mine is much more similar to the GP24. Despite that, though, I can&#8217t get the performance of last year”.
