When Jannik Sinner plays at Roland Garros: history with Carlos Alcaraz and where to watch it on TV

Jannik Sinner–Carlos Alcaraz: the most anticipated final, the match the whole world has been waiting for. For the first time, the two rivals will face each other in a Grand Slam tournament final: thanks to his victory over Novak Djokovic, the Italian tennis player reached the last act of Roland Garros for the first time in his career. Now the San Candido champion’s goal is to oust the Murcia outfielder, winner of the last edition of the French Open.
Sinner made it to the final without losing a single set, and has reached 20 consecutive wins in Slam tournament matches; Carlos Alcaraz, who rematched Lorenzo Musetti in the semifinals, is on his favorite surface and just won the Rome tournament, right at the expense of the Azzurro.
There are currently 11 previous meetings between the two on the ATP circuit, with 7 wins by the Spaniard and 4 by the Italian. Alcaraz has prevailed in the last 4 matches, however, and Sinner’s last win dates back to the 2023 Beijing tournament (success at the 2024 Six Kings Slam is not counted). On clay, the two have faced each other three times: in Rome a few days ago and in the semifinals of Roland Garros 2024, when it was always the Iberian who won. Sinner’s only victory on clay was in Umag in 2022.
The challenge is scheduled for Sunday, June 8, at Philippe Chatrier center court: the match will not start before 3 p.m. The match will be broadcast on Eurosport, Sky and on Sky Go, NOW Tv, DAZN and Discovery+ platforms. It’s also likely that the event will be broadcast free-to-air on channel NOVE, although the official announcement is still lacking.
