Napoli, Darwin Núñez gets complicated: Moise Kean’s name pops up

Antonio Conte’s Napoli is on the hunt for a striker for next season and, after the difficulties encountered in the negotiations for Darwin Núñez with Liverpool, the Neapolitan club seems to have turned firmly on Moise Kean. The Fiorentina striker is now at the top of the list of targets to reinforce the Azzurri attack, especially in view of a possible sale of Victor Osimhen.
Arriving at the Uruguayan striker is proving too complicated a path for Napoli. Liverpool, in fact, is unwilling to accept the proposal, still too low, for the center forward. In fact, the cost of the player’s card is more than 60 million euros and the salary of more than 8 million per season clearly complicates Napoli’s market plans. For this reason, the Neapolitan leadership, led by Giovanni Manna, is exploring more viable alternative tracks and has identified Kean as an interesting and, above all, affordable profile.
The center forward of the Italian national team has a rescission clause set at 52 million euros, which can be activated until next July 15. A detail that makes the next two weeks decisive for the player’s future. Napoli is already moving to understand the striker’s availability and the possible feasibility of the deal, also thanks to the possibility of splitting the payment of the clause into two installments.
Kean comes from an absolute revival season with the Fiorentina shirt. After complicated years, the former Juventus player found the maturity and continuity he had been lacking in Florence, finally leaving behind the label of restless talent. The class of 2000 has attracted the interest not only of Napoli, but also of foreign clubs such as Al Qadsiah and Manchester United, without excluding the possibility of staying another season in the purple.
