Fans are moving, and not just those in Trieste: accountant Ugo Fantozzi quoted

As the wait for Paul Matiasic’s next moves becomes more and more palpable, the city reacts with a strong and visible signal. Posters put up by the Curva Nord with the slogan “This can’t end,” which in a matter of hours has become the symbol of the concern that runs through the Trieste basketball environment, have appeared in several neighborhoods of Trieste.

The fans’ initiative, recounted by Il Piccolo, does not have the heated tones of a protest, but rather represents a responsible appeal addressed to the whole square. The supporters’ goal is clear: to keep the focus on the club’s future high and prevent the city from resigning itself to a possible downsizing, at a time fraught with uncertainties related to the disengagement of the American president. And it is not only the red and white fans who are ready to make barricades: they and those in Cremona are receiving the solidarity of the vast majority of those who love basketball. Solidarity that may soon turn into something concrete. In Desio, with a banner, Canturini fans have defined Nba Europe with the same terms used by accountant Fantozzi about the movie about the Corazzata Potemkin: “Una cag… pazzesca”.

The weekend could hold important news expected by the whole red and white community. The central node remains understanding what Matiasic’s real intentions are. Meanwhile, Valerio Bianchini, after opening a case with a previous post that had infuriated Trieste fans at a delicate moment for the Giuliana team, has returned to speak out on his much-followed Facebook page.

“Fans disheartened by the mechanisms of professional sports, have a bitter heart because it is the heart that governs the fans,” wrote the legendary coach capable of winning the Scudetto with Cantù, Rome and Pesaro. “As Pascal said, “The heart has reasons that reason does not know.”
