Tom Pidcock won the third stage of the Tour of the Alps 2026, which took the peloton from Laces to Arco, crossing the autonomous provinces of Bolzano and Trento. The Pinarello Q36.5 rider won ahead of Tommaso Dati of Team Ukyo and Egan Bernal of Ineos Grenadiers, in a stage that nevertheless saw Giulio Pellizzari retain the green jersey of leader of the classification.

The climber from the Marche region of Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe in fact retains a 4″ lead over Thymen Arensman (Ineos Grenadiers), while Bernal comes in at 6″. Today’s stage was marked, shortly after the start, by a maxi crash that resulted in a twenty-minute suspension and as many as five retirements, with Italians Lorenzo Finn (Pellizzari’s teammate) and Lorenzo Nespoli (MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort) forced to abandon the race.

Also Damien Howson (Pinarello Q36.5), Victor Langellotti (Ineos Grenadiers), Felix Engelhardt (Jayco AlUla) and Daniel Federspiel (Austria) abandoned the race after a maxi crash, which occurred in the agitated early stages of the race.
