Clamorous comeback in the salvage: Roma expels Parma (with disputed penalty) and stays glued to the Champions train

Roma beats Parma 3-2 after an incredible finish in the 6 p.m. Serie A Sunday match played at the home of the Gialloblù: a scoreline that keeps alive the hopes of Champions League qualification for the Giallorossi, who were able to win a game they were losing until 93′.
At the “Tardini” the Giallorossi start on the attack: at 9′ Malen scores but his goal is disallowed for offside, at 19′ there is a vibrant protest for an intervention by Valenti on Mancini in the Gialloblù area (after the moviola control on the field, however, it opts for nothing), at 21′ Malen beats Suzuki again but this time there is no irregularity and Roma can celebrate the 1-0.
From the goal of the lead up to halftime, moreover, it should be noted the post hit on 29′ by Soulé, well taken in the area by Dybala. At the beginning of the resumption everything changes and just two minutes after the whistle Parma equalizes: ball lost by the Giallorossi during the construction phase, Nicolussi Caviglia finds Strefezza who stoops in the area and concludes behind Svilar for the 1-1.
At 52′ Suzuki produces a great save on Malen, this time less precise than previous attempts, shortly after Strefezza has to leave the field due to injury: in his place is Pellegrino. Precisely the latter scores on 56′, but the VAR intervention confirms an offside position of Troilo, deemed active because he obstructs Svilar’s view.
The match remains vibrant, with interesting chances on both sides: it’s Parma who strikes, finding the 2-1 on 87′ with Mandela Keita, good at finishing a quick restart and scoring a goal on his 24th birthday. It seemed to be over for Roma but at 94′ came the unhoped-for equalizer: bangs and rebounds in the box from a corner and the ball arriving in the direction of Rensch, the Dutchman guessing the right opening and scoring the 2-2.
But it was not over yet: in the very long recovery, at 96′, again Rensch entered the box and was hit by Britschgi, after the VAR review the referee Chiffi awarded the penalty and inflicted the second yellow against the Swiss side, who was thus sent off. However, there are vehement protests from the other Gialloblù players and the public, but the referee does not change the final decision. On the penalty spot comes Malen who does not tremble and beats Suzuki for a 3-2 win that allows Roma to still dream of qualifying for the Cup with the big ears, but will not fail to rekindle the controversy especially for the weight in the Champions race of what happened in the final.
