Inter market, Davide Frattesi’s future is no longer Nerazzurri

Davide Frattesi is ready to leave Inter after a season that, in numbers and feelings, tells of a separation that has gradually matured over the last few months. Already in January the midfielder had been close to a transfer to Nottingham Forest, but at that time neither the player nor the club were convinced to break off with the season in progress. Today the scenario has changed. The English club has returned concrete interest in the class of 1999, who for next year is looking for a different project, new motivation and, above all, greater continuity on the field.
The Premier League, however, does not represent the only viable route. In fact, there continues to be interest in the player from Roma, the club that formed him football-wise without, however, offering him the opportunity to make his debut in the first team. It is precisely the Giallorossi that could become a protagonist again in talks with Inter. In the past months, in fact, contacts between the two clubs have concerned several profiles. In addition to Manu Koné, the name of Evan Ndicka had also emerged in the conversations. The Ivorian defender, valued at around 30 million euros, had been identified as a possible replacement for Alessandro Bastoni in case the Azzurri central had left for Barcelona. In that hypothesis, Frattesi (valued at around 25 million) could have been a useful pawn to facilitate the operation, given Roma’s strong liking for him.
A hypothesis that, at least for the moment, seems to have gone away. Barcelona no longer represents a concrete threat and Bastoni’s position has changed significantly: today the defender sees his future at Inter and would be willing to continue his adventure in the Nerazzurri for a long time. As a result, without his transfer there is no need to identify a replacement. The market, however, remains unpredictable. Should a major European team come back strongly on Bastoni, the dialogue between Inter and Roma for Ndicka could reopen quickly, especially in view of June 30, the deadline by which the capital club will have to realize important capital gains.
For Frattesi, on the other hand, the fate seems now sealed. The midfielder has already said goodbye to the Nerazzurri environment and is preparing to move on. Thus closes a chapter made of 122 appearances and four trophies won, but also the feeling that his path at Inter could have offered much more.
