A warning for Jannik Sinner—his friend doesn’t mince words

Carlos Alcaraz hasn’t been seen on the courts since mid-April, and Jannik Sinner is looking for a way to overcome his struggles in the heat. Despite this, the player from Murcia and the player from South Tyrol remain the undisputed kings of the circuit—with the exception of the ever-reliable Novak Djokovic.
Despite Sinner and Alcaraz’s dominance, Hubert Hurkacz is convinced that things could change at any moment. The Polish tennis player, a close friend of the San Candido champion, issued a warning in an interview with Tennis365: “Alcaraz and Sinner have raised the overall level, but now there are more opportunities.”
“I don’t think the game has changed much compared to the days of Rafa Nadal, Roger Federer, and Novak Djokovic, but today’s players aren’t as consistent as they were a few years ago, which is why the top 20 is very, very strong and anyone can go on a winning streak at any moment,” said Hurkacz.
Following the draw for the men’s singles draw at Wimbledon, all eyes are on Jannik Sinner, who is set to defend the title he won twelve months ago on the London grass. The world No. 1 spoke at a press conference: “We’ve made a few changes to our preparation, but I don’t think they’re major.”
“We’re happy right now with what we’re doing: it’s a long process, and we won’t see the results right away. We’re doing our best. I’m happy with the work we’ve done over the past few weeks. I feel prepared,” said Sinner.
