Milan Transfer Market: Rafael Leão Has Been Forgotten by Everyone—Except Ruben Amorim

There was a time when all of Europe wanted Rafael Leao. Chelsea was ready to pay a fortune to sign him, but today, the situation has changed dramatically. There’s no longer a line of suitors for the Portuguese player born in 1999.
At the World Cup, for now, he’s a luxury substitute. Aside from his flash of brilliance against Uzbekistan, he’s never really been in the spotlight. What could have been the event that relaunched his career is turning into a brief cameo and little else.
Milan no longer considers him untouchable, especially after Rafael Leao’s own statements in which he made it clear to everyone that his time with the Rossoneri had come to an end and that he was, therefore, ready to prove himself elsewhere.
The problem is that, as of now, there don’t appear to be any concrete offers on the table. It seems everyone has forgotten about Rafael Leao. Everyone except Ruben Amorim. The Rossoneri’s new coach is ready to speak with the Portuguese forward and try to make him understand that Milan is still his best option—provided there’s the right motivation to silence all his critics. After the World Cup, Rafael Leao will have to make a difficult decision: stay, or hope for a major offer this summer?
