Goalkeeper Tryouts: 3 Options for Torino

One of Torino’s top transfer priorities is undoubtedly the signing of a new goalkeeper: the Franco Israel experiment—signed last summer from Sporting for nearly 5 million euros—has proven to be a failure, and the need for a new addition is glaringly obvious.
In recent days, there has been a lot of talk about the possible transfer to Piedmont of Orlando Gill, the San Lorenzo goalkeeper who performed exceptionally well at the World Cup with Paraguay. The 2000-born player commented on the transfer rumors as follows: “A future at Torino? Why not—it’s a great club in Italy. But right now, it’s only fair that the club choose the best offer.” San Lorenzo is asking for about 6 million euros, and Gianluca Petrachi has taken some time to think it over.
Toro also has its sights set on Dominik Livaković, who is coming off a rather complicated season. The Croatian goalkeeper moved on loan from Fenerbahçe to Girona in September 2025, but in January he left Spain to return—again on loan—to Dinamo Zagreb (the club where he played from 2016 to 2023). He is now back in Turkey, but Ederson is the starter and there is no room for him.
Gianluca Petrachi and Urbano Cairo haven’t given up hope on Wladimiro Falcone. The Lecce goalkeeper, who has proven to be very reliable in recent years, is deeply attached to the Salento region, but the Granata would still like to make an attempt to convince him to make the move.
