Gonçalo Ramos, Mario Gila, and Diego Moreira: Milan has already spent 150 million euros in the summer transfer window on these three major signings, who will form the core of the starting lineup Ruben Amorim has in mind. But that’s not all—the Rossoneri will continue their overhaul and go in search of two more crucial players, one in defense and one in the attacking midfield.

Just as with Ramos, Milan pulled off a surprise move by signing Diego Moreira, catching experts and insiders off guard with a completely new name. Two more unexpected signings could also materialize for the center-back and attacking midfielder positions: the Milan club will spare no expense to satisfy Amorim.

For the defense, there is known interest in Gonçalo Inacio of Sporting and Tiago Gabriel of Lecce. The former is a favorite of Amorim, who gave him his start in Portugal; however, he is now the team’s captain and commands a very high price tag. The latter is valued by Lecce at around 30 million euros and has suitors in the Premier League.

Keep an eye on Gerard Martin of Barcelona and Axel Disasi of Chelsea as well—two more players suited to Amorim’s style of play who have already been linked to the Rossoneri in the past. Another huge name would be Argentine national team player Lisandro Martinez of Manchester United, whose contract with the Red Devils expires in 2027.

As for the attacking midfield, the list is very long: Rodrigo Mora of Porto, Ethan Nwaneri of Arsenal, Brahim Diaz of Real Madrid, and Ibrahim Maza of Bayer Leverkusen are all players linked to the Rossoneri—some young, some already established, and all very expensive. Keep an eye on Bruno Fernandes as well: rumors about his possible departure from Manchester United have intensified in recent hours.

For financial reasons, Milan will also have to offload several players from the roster. Amorim has already informed the front office of the names of the players to be released following the Asian tour: Fikayo Tomori, Youssouf Fofana, and Christopher Nkunku are no longer part of the plan. Santiago Gimenez, on the other hand, is now close to joining Porto on loan with an option to buy set at around 20 million euros, while Odogu will go on a dry loan to Toulouse.

As for Nkunku, the Frenchman—who was signed last summer for 37 million euros and had a strong season with the Rossoneri—has caught the eye of Newcastle, which is reported to have already reached a verbal agreement with the player’s agents. The Magpies will now have to negotiate with Milan, which is asking for at least 30 million euros for the former Chelsea player and aims to spark a bidding war among the various interested clubs, including Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund, and, in Serie A, Gasperini’s Roma.
