Inter’s transfer campaign may not be over yet: after bringing in three players from the Premier League (Stones, Spence, and Jones), the Nerazzurri are still on the hunt for deals in this final stretch of the summer transfer window. In particular, according to Sky, Marotta and Ausilio are looking for an additional option for the forward line.

Cristian Chivu has outlined the profile of the player he’d like to see on the roster: a player with different characteristics than the current forwards—someone with better dribbling skills, more creativity, and strong one-on-one ability. A forward who can bring unpredictability and break open tight games. It’s no coincidence that Inter has previously targeted Nico Paz and Lookman: the Romanian coach has long been asking for a player with these skills.

Corriere della Sera has not ruled out any sensational surprises in the final stretch of the transfer window: Inter’s transfer team will try to capitalize on any opportunity, but they’ll first need to sell Luis Henrique to Roma to raise the funds necessary for a final, potential signing. The player’s agents are already at work, with Roma in pole position to secure the former Marseille player. Gasperini’s Giallorossi are negotiating with Inter on the basis of a loan with an obligation to buy, for a total amount reportedly around 30 million, including a fixed fee and bonuses. Once this transfer is finalized, the Nerazzurri will have the financial leeway needed to make a big move in the transfer market.

Inter, however, has flatly denied rumors from Spain regarding Barcelona’s interest in Lautaro Martinez: The Blaugrana, backed by a 100 million euro offer, reportedly turned their attention to Inter’s captain after encountering difficulties in negotiations with Atlético Madrid for Julián Álvarez. Inter’s response was immediate: Lautaro is not for sale, and the rumored figure does not alter the club’s strategy in the slightest. This isn’t the first time Barcelona has knocked on Inter’s door for the Argentine captain: back in 2020, spurred in part by Lionel Messi’s recommendations, the Catalan club had already attempted a move, only to see the deal fall through due to the enormous gap between the two clubs’ valuations.
