Lazio Transfer Market: Two Friends Call the Goalkeeper, Who Plays for Time

Michele Di Gregorio now seems set to leave Juventus, and his priority is reportedly to find a new home outside of Italy. After a difficult season, the goalkeeper sees a stint in a foreign league as the right opportunity to get his career back on track and regain consistency.
With that in mind, Lazio’s interest hasn’t particularly convinced the former Monza player. The Biancocelesti have stepped forward in recent hours, but Di Gregorio continues to prefer a move abroad. Not even the intervention of Nicolò Rovella and Davide Frattesi, his teammates in Brianza, was enough to change his mind, and the outcome remains uncertain; however, it is likely that the two midfielders will try again.
Among the options on the table, the one involving Olympique de Marseille currently appears to be the most concrete. Initial talks between the French club and Juventus had generated positive feelings, but negotiations subsequently slowed down due to the financial terms proposed by OM. Marseille is aiming to acquire the goalkeeper on a free loan, while also leaving Juventus to pay about half of his salary, totaling approximately 3 million net per year.
This solution does not satisfy the Bianconeri. Juventus does not rule out the possibility of transferring Di Gregorio on a straight loan, but has set a specific condition: the club that signs him must cover the full cost of his salary.
