Ferrari: Lewis Hamilton doesn’t hold back and lashes out after a disastrous qualifying session. Charles Leclerc is in a completely different mood.

A cold shower for Lewis Hamilton in the Netherlands. The British driver, who began the weekend with high hopes, finished just seventh in the sprint qualifying session, which was won by George Russell. The upgrade featuring the new floor has not yet yielded any improvements for Ferrari, which has instead taken a step backward compared to its recent performances.
After the official practice sessions, Hamilton made no secret of his disappointment: “The first session of FP1 looked good; we made a few small adjustments to the car, but then when we went into qualifying, it was a total disaster. We need to figure out what went wrong, and we’ll do our best on Saturday.”
The seven-time world champion wants to figure out what’s wrong: “We’ll review the data and make a decision. We simply need to examine the data and figure out, by analyzing the situation, why this isn’t working.”
But on the other side of the pit, Charles Leclerc is all smiles after finishing third. “I’m very happy today because I think it was my best qualifying lap of the year. We’re also making good progress in finding the feel that hasn’t always been there this season. It’s a good step in that direction—especially after the pit stop, it’s great to rediscover that kind of feel.” Unlike Hamilton, the driver from the Principality felt comfortable in the car: “In terms of race pace, it’s a little more difficult because conditions this morning were more challenging. We’ll have to wait and see how tomorrow’s Sprint race goes. For now, though, it seems like a positive start to me.”
