Monza is adding strength and height to its midfield with the arrival of Idrissa Touré, as officially announced by the Brianza-based club after he signed a contract that will keep him with the team through June 30, 2028. The player comes from Pisa, where he played four seasons in Serie B and one—last season—in Serie A, scoring in the Tuscan Nerazzurri’s first top-flight victory (1-0 against Cremonese on November 7, 2025), 34 and a half years after their previous one.

Touré, born in Berlin on April 29, 1998, joined Leipzig in 2015 and made his professional debut on March 13, 2016, with the Red Bull-affiliated club’s reserve team, against Munich 1860 in the Regionalliga. This was followed by stints with the reserve teams of Schalke 04 and Werder Bremen, before his transfer to Juventus in the summer of 2018. In Turin, he played for the Next Gen team, with which he made 70 appearances, scoring 4 goals and winning a Serie C Coppa Italia in 2020.

After two seasons with Juventus, Touré went on loan to Vitesse, where he made 20 appearances in the Dutch league. In 2021, he returned to Italy to begin his adventure with Pisa, becoming a mainstay in the Tuscan team’s midfield. With the Nerazzurri, he contributed to the historic promotion to Serie A in the 2024–25 season—a milestone the club had awaited for 34 years—and in the following season, he played 32 games in the top flight, featuring both in central midfield and on the wing.

Of Guinean descent but holding a German passport, Touré also has 12 appearances for Germany’s youth national teams. The midfielder has taken the opposite path to Andrea Petagna, who on Thursday moved to Pisa after two seasons with Monza.
