All over Europe, top clubs are on the hunt for ever-younger talent. The goal is to focus on players who can grow a great deal over the years and, why not, become stars. In Serie A, however, the allure of the aging star player is well established, so much so that, especially recently, several no-longer-young champions have arrived in the Bel Paese.

Think of people like Modric, 40, or De Bruyne, 34. Both have chosen Italy as the last stop in their brilliant careers. Well, now it could be Lewandowski’s turn. The 37-year-old Barcelona striker is ready to get back into the game. At the end of the current season, he will leave the blaugrana and, probably, land in Serie A.

A.C. Milan seems to be in pole position. There has long been talk of negotiations with the entourage of the seasoned Polish center forward to dress him in Rossoneri next season. Milan but not only… Juventus, desperately looking for a quality forward, is also reportedly thinking about it.

In short, the already established star, even if no longer in the prime of his career, is quite liked by Italian clubs. Not least because these are names that, even today, excite crowds. And, after all, given the average level of Italian soccer, they are also capable of making a difference on the pitch, as is happening with Modric at AC Milan and De Bruyne at Napoli.
