Olimpia Milano, big announcement for May 3 game with Trieste

The “Kyle Hines Night” is coming. On May 3, during halftime of the match between Olimpia Milano and Pallacanestro Trieste, the club will celebrate Kyle Hines for his induction into the red and white Hall of Fame.
Hines arrived in Milan in the summer of 2020, staying for four success-filled seasons. During this time, Olimpia won three consecutive Scudetti (2022, 2023, 2024), two Italian Cups (2021, 2022) and a Supercoppa (2020). At the European level, under Hines the team reached the EuroLeague Final Four in 2021 and the playoffs in 2022. In total, the long American played 144 EuroLeague games with the Milanese jersey, scoring 893 points and collecting 566 rebounds.
Considered one of the most influential defenders in recent European basketball history, Hines ended his career at Olimpia by also winning his last Best Defensive Player award. Over the years, his teams reached nine consecutive Final Fours and the EuroLeague playoffs ten times, while he lifted the continental title on four occasions: two with Olympiacos and two with CSKA Moscow. In addition to trophies, he has been appreciated for leadership, team spirit and professionalism, perfectly embodying the club’s historical values.
Hines announced his retirement in 2024, after contributing to Olimpia’s third consecutive Scudetto, and today he works for the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA.
With his induction, Olimpia Milano’s Hall of Fame reaches 46 members, including executives, coaches and players who have marked the club’s history. In keeping with the club’s tradition, inclusion is reserved exclusively for figures who have already concluded their competitive careers.
