Napoli market, Kevin De Bruyne has not changed his mind about his future

Kevin De Bruyne’s arrival at Napoli this season, injury-related, has not brought the hoped-for results. The Belgian barely had time to acclimatize to Italian soccer and Antonio Conte’s mechanisms before he was halted by a serious injury to the hamstring in his right thigh, remedied in the action of the penalty (converted) against Inter at the Maradona.
That was October 25: since then he has been in the pits for almost five months, missing 28 games in total. His return came only at the beginning of March, and coincidence or not Napoli has regained momentum, with four wins in the last five matches before the stop against Parma, which cooled their Scudetto comeback ambitions.
De Bruyne, however, has no intention of quitting and will remain at the Azzurri. His contract expires in June 2027 and there seems to be no intention to terminate the relationship early. According to Sportmediaset, the bond with Napoli appears solid to the point that his stay would not even depend on Conte’s future decisions in the summer.
Even in the event of the coach’s farewell, the Belgian would not want to leave the path he has undertaken halfway through, especially now that he is close to a prestigious goal such as 100 goals in Europe’s five major leagues: he is stuck at 99, and the triple figure could come as early as this final stage of the season, perhaps with the first goal on action in Serie A that he still lacks.
