NBA: Wembanyama scores and shuts down all of Boston’s TD Garden

Once again, Wembanyama took center stage. The French all-star was the big star in the challenge, played at TD Garden, between Boston and San Antonio. Starting from the bench, he scored 21 points, including 16 in the second half. Above all, he slotted the basket, 19″ from the buzzer, that gave the Spurs victory on the Celtics’ court: 100-95 the final. Thanks to 26 points from the usual Leonard and 25 from an inspired Collins, the LA Clippers managed to get the better of the challenge with Detroit: 98-92 the final. For the Los Angelinos it was the 15th win, compared to 23 losses. Pistons collecting their 10th stop of the season: 28-10 their current record.
Heavy defeat for Miami, which falls on Indiana’s court. The Pacers dominate in the first quarter (36-18) and, riding an excellent Nembhard (29 points, 10/16 from the field), take home the win: 123-99 the final. Fontecchio took the court for eight minutes, scoring five points ((2/3 from the field). Indiana thus wins its eighth game of the season (8-31 record). Miami still above 50 percent of wins: 20-18 at the moment.
Bitter Dallas loses badly to Chicago (125-107). In great difficulty the rookie Flagg (number 1 pick in the last NBA Draft), who closes with “only” 11 points and a horrid 4/13 shooting. On the other side, White shines, author of 22 points. The Mavs have an increasingly bad record: 14-25 at the moment.
Performance to remember by Charlotte, which rifles a very heavy 150-95 win over Utah. The first quarter ends 40-15 in favor of the Hornets. As many as nine players in double figures in points among Charlotte’s ranks with Mann, who started from the bench, finishing with 20 points. The Hornets now have 14 total wins, compared to 25 losses.
