Fabio Quartararo doesn’t hide disappointment after Valencia practice: ‘I expected better from the new engine’

Yamaha centaur Fabio Quartararo commented disappointed on the MotoGp free practice in Valencia. “I expected better, this engine was more powerful on paper, but instead it was the same as the one used in the race and we have to understand what happened compared to the last tests. We expected much better, we tested the new chassis, aerodynamics and the new engine.”

Not positive news from the chassis either for the French rider, who expects improvements from Yamaha over the winter: “We made two runs this morning, but I didn’t see an improvement and we focused on the standard chassis.” Quartararo finished with the ninth fastest time overall, while teammate Franco Morbidelli got the 14th fastest time.
