Men and women, double injury for Reyer Venezia

A one-two punch for Reyer Venezia, but the lagoon club would surely have done without, as it was fined for the intemperance of its fans, both men and women. The Famila Wuber Schio won the Italian women’s basketball champion title for the 14th time in its history, at the end of an intense final against the Orogranata.
The scudetto came thanks to the success in game-3, closed on 70-64, a result that allowed the Vicenza-based team to definitively win the final series of the Women’s A1 Series. A triumph that matured in a comeback: after the initial defeat, Schio reacted with character, reversing the trend of the series and also taking advantage of the missed opportunity by Reyer in game-2. Fundamental was the support of the PalaRomare, which pushed the team towards a historic victory, celebrated together with the players at the end of the game.
For Schio this is the third title of the season, after Coppa Italia and Italian Supercup, confirming a year of the highest level. This success further reinforces the club’s role among the main realities of Italian women’s basketball, capable once again of imposing itself at the national top.
