The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team took advantage of the post-GP of Spain Monday to carry out the traditional day of collective testing at the Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto. Fabio Di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli carried out a busy schedule, ending the session in eighth and nineteenth position respectively.

For Di Giannantonio it was a particularly productive day. The Roman rider tested numerous solutions, including several aerodynamic components on his Ducati Desmosedici GP. “Diggia” was often among the fastest on the track, even leading the timesheet for much of the day. He completed 74 laps, with a best time of 1’36″477, finishing eight tenths in eighth place.

Franco Morbidelli also did a lot of work, focusing mainly on setup and electronics changes. The goal was clear: to continue to improve and solve the problems encountered in the first races of the season. The number 21 rider totaled 77 laps, stopping the clock at a time of 1’37″071, which earned him the nineteenth position. The team will be back in action in two weeks for the French Grand Prix, scheduled from May 8 to 10 at the Le Mans circuit.

The words of Fabio Di Giannantonio after the test: “I’m satisfied, it was probably the most intense test we’ve ever done. We completed a lot of laps and tried a lot of things. Our time was limited compared to everything we wanted to test, but we managed to try most of the solutions and gather useful feedback. I think we are becoming more and more precise about what we really need and where we are making progress-that is a very positive thing. We have found some interesting improvements and I am looking forward to being able to use them in the race. The most noticeable change is the new fairing, which we have given our impressions on, but I am equally happy with other less visible changes that have helped me especially in braking and corner entry, exactly what I needed.”
