Palermo and Bologna don’t get hurt

Palermo and Bologna did not go beyond 0-0 at the Renzo Barbera in the lunch match of the 27th day of Serie A. Even with the help of a strong wind that disturbed the 22 on the field, Iachini’s and Donadoni’s lineups failed to find the way of goal despite the fact that, especially in the second half, there was no shortage of chances.
The match opened in the sign of the hosts, who started great by bringing a good pressing to Bologna’s turn of the ball, preventing Giaccherini, Destro and Floccari from making themselves dangerous. With the passing of the minutes and the inevitable drop in energy, however, it is mostly quality that emerges and here Donadoni’s lineup takes more courage and begins to show up more persistently in Posevac’s sides. The first conclusion, however, comes only at 26′ when Destro defends the ball and kicks powerfully from the edge of the area: Posavec, very careful, blocks on the ground. Emotions are latent and on Vitiello’s conclusion in the 45′ minute, we go to rest on the result of 0-0.
When hostilities resumed, both teams re-entered the field with a more combative spirit. Ready to go and it is immediately Destro who makes the Barbera tremble: Giaccherini between the lines serves the red-blue striker who stoops and shoots from inside the area but Posavec saves everything in the exit.
The Ascoli bomber was answered by ‘Mudo’ Vazquez who did it all by himself in the 62′ minute: first he made a real magic with an excellent stop in the area, and then he unbelievably wasted with a half-right outside conclusion that did not frame the goal from two steps. Iachini and Donadoni play it all by fishing for fresh energy and strength from the bench but the balance is not broken until the triple whistle. At the Barbera it ends 0-0, a result that certainly goes better for the Felsinei but can be useful for the Sicilians to try to get out of the crisis.
