Next Gen ATP Finals: Lorenzo Musetti sees the glass half full
Musetti sees the glass as half full
Lorenzo Musetti will play for access to the semifinals of the Next Gen ATP Finals on Thursday night against British tennis player Jack Draper. In fact, the Italian, after losing to Switzerland’s Dominic Stricker at the end of a five-set battle, each of which ended in a tie-break, needs a win to clinch the semifinals.
The Italian returned to the loss to Stricker: “Yes, he was an uncomfortable opponent from the beginning. He served with very important percentages and statistics that did not allow me to express my game. I had a good reaction even though I lost the first two sets, and then with these rules, with these short sets and on a fast surface, certainly the levels flatten out a lot. He was very good in handling the tiebreak. Now it’s thinking about the next match.”
“Yes, it will be another tough match against another server. I will try to recover as best I can because anyway tonight’s was a good battle and I will try to bring the good things done in this match and take away the bitterness of not qualifying,” Musetti concluded on the next challenge, as reported by Ubitennis.
