There is nothing more exciting than a Game 7. On the night, as many as two were played. In the first, Detroit, in front of its own public, got the better of Orlando (116-94 the final) while, in Cleveland, the Cavs ruled the Raptors 114-102. Detroit and Cleveland, therefore, continue their adventure in the playoffs. End of the road for Orlando and Toronto.

Spectacular especially the success of Detroit, which, down 1-3 in the series, won on a comeback, finishing 4-3. The Pistons advanced to the Eastern Conference semifinals for the first time since 2008, taking advantage of the talents of every single player on the roster, especially that of Cunningham, who scored 32 points.

“Kudos to the Magic, they put us under pressure,” Cunningham’s words to ESPN. “They really forced us to look inside. I think we improved a lot because of this series. I have improved a lot. I learned a lot about myself, I learned a lot about the team. So, I think this series will better prepare us for the next series.”

In the other challenge, great performance by Allen who, in his first career Game 7, scored 22 points while also capturing 19 rebounds. “He really gave us the decisive push,” said Atkinson, Cavs coach, speaking of Allen. “It’s his best performance I’ve ever seen. Lots of offensive rebounds and he helped us out with several points under the basket. We needed someone else to step up besides James [Harden] and Don [Mitchell]. This time he was just unbelievable.” In the next round it will be Detroit vs. Cleveland.
