From Udine comes a name for the post of Attilio Caja.

The navigated coach from Pavia has made it clear that at the end of the A2 series playoffs he will leave Fortitudo Bologna.

According to reports in the “Messaggero Veneto” in his place could arrive Demis Cavina, back from a disappointing season at Scaligera Verona: experience closed in February, when he left the helm to the return horse Alessandro Ramagli.

Fortitudo on Thursday and Saturday will take the court at PalaDozza for game one and game two of the A2 quarterfinals against Avellino, which triumphed over Juvi Cremona in the play-in.

Cavina, who also led Vanoli Cremona in Serie A in the past, knows well the dynamics of the cadetteria and what it means to build a winning group. It was precisely with Cremona that he had won the A2 championship and brought the Gialloblu back to the top league, before moving to Scaligera Verona where, however, things did not go as hoped, with the exoneration coming in February in favor of Ramagli.

On the player market front, meanwhile, Fortitudo will also have to watch out for outside sirens. Reyer Venezia has reportedly set its sights on Alvise Sarto, a class of 2000 Venetian who is performing well with the Effe jersey, to which he is bound by a two-year contract expiring in 2027. The youngster has already shown his qualities in these playoffs as well, as witnessed by his performance on the court of Brindisi, where he had scored 24 points with 6/9 from the arc. However, the outcome of the post-season could be a game-changer, with an eventual promotion bound to reshape the market scenarios for all clubs involved.
