The first images of Iran’s new home jersey for the 2026 World Cup have appeared online. Made by Iranian brand Majid, the national team’s new uniform features a clean, minimalist design ready for the world campaign. The jersey, unveiled by footyheadlines, is predominantly white and features a subtle textured pattern integrated directly into the sleeve fabric.

The main element is the classic round neck, decorated on the back and sleeve cuffs by the colors of the Iranian flag: green, white and red. The black Majid logo stands out on the right chest, opposite the national team crest, while the red jersey number in the center completes the minimalist look.

As a whole, the new Iran 2026 is very reminiscent of the 2022 version. According to many users, it is exactly the same and still has fueled the debate about Team Melli’s actual participation in the World Cup scheduled for Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.

While the situation in the Strait of Hormuz has escalated again, the Iranian national team’s preparations for the World Cup so far are proceeding smoothly. Team Melli’s official Instagram account on Tuesday afternoon posted videos and photos showing players engaged in a photo shoot in their new home jerseys and in training sessions at an undisclosed location.

Various players, including starting goalkeeper Alireza Safar Beiranvand and outfielder Milad Mohammadi, were immortalized in their new uniforms. The team is training in Iran before flying to Turkey to play three preparation friendlies.

The meeting scheduled in May in Zurich between the Tehran Federation and FIFA is expected to conclude once and for all the issue over the team’s participation (with Italy an interested spectator). Meanwhile, the selection will leave for Turkey next Monday for the last phase of preparation before flying to the United States in June. Team Melli’s debut is scheduled for June 15 in Los Angeles against New Zealand, followed on June 21 by the clash against Belgium in the same stadium.
