Italy repechage to the World Cup: the'opponent of'Iran says yes

The crucial meeting between FIFA and the Iranian Federation, which is demanding clear assurances ahead of the World Cup kicking off in just over a month in Canada, the United States and Mexico, will be held in Zurich in a few days. After being turned away at the Toronto airport only a week ago, Iranian officials, who were unable to attend the FIFA Congress, will present several demands ahead of the World Cup kickoff. The officialization of the test match is another piece showing that Iran is serious and has no intention of forfeiting the rainbow tournament, which remains at risk anyway because of the war with the United States. According to Gamfoot Transfers reports, the Iranian federation has reportedly agreed to cover all expenses related to Gambia’s trip to Turkey, including airfare, lodging, and training facilities.
