Jannik Sinner always on the court: here’s how many days he hasn’t picked up a racket

Tough is the life of the world number 1. Jannik Sinner has just won the Internazionali d’Italia. A success that, in Italy, was well overdue for 50 years. Yet another masterpiece of a season that, at the moment, is practically perfect. However, behind all these successes, there are unimaginable sacrifices.
To play at such levels and, above all, never stop, continuing to take the court without pause, one must know how to manage oneself and have an uncommon sense of duty. To understand how “committed to tennis” Jannik Sinner is, one only has to count how many days, from January 1, 2026 to the final at the Foro Italico (May 17), he spent without playing or training.
The number is definitely small, since we are talking about only 14 days. Better to be clearer: Jannik Sinner, out of 136 total days, did not pick up the racket for only two weeks total. In fact, it’s as if he has worked nine out of 10 days over the past four and a half months.
A figure that certifies, once again, what a work ethic the world number 1 has. To get to certain levels and, more importantly, to stay there consistently, one must have the determination that Jannik Sinner has shown since the beginning of 2026. Fortunately, at the end of his exertions in Rome, he decided to take a few days off but, rest assured, he will be back soon.
