June is proving to be particularly unusual for Italian basketball. More than market negotiations and player movements, there is discussion about the possible disposals of sports titles ahead of the 2026/2027 championship. A situation that fuels uncertainty and discontent among fans.

After the concerns that have long emerged in Trieste, disquiet is also growing among fans in Turin. According to rumors circulating in basketball circles, the patron of the Piedmontese club, David Avino, has reportedly received a proposal of about 600,000 euros to acquire the Serie A2 sports title.

Matiasic, meanwhile, has moved on several fronts in search of a Serie A sports title. According to reports in the Gazzetta dello Sport, he reportedly submitted a 6 million euro offer to Germani Brescia, which was promptly denied by owner Mauro Ferrari. There is also talk of an approach to newly-promoted Scafati, rejected by patron Longobardi, who allegedly considered the offer unsuitable, and rumors involving Trapani as well. In the meantime, the Matiasic group has already secured the use of the PalaEur for next season, confirming the concreteness of the Roman project.

The situation of uncertainty enveloping several clubs has inevitable repercussions on the balance of Serie A as well. Dinamo Sassari, relegated at the end of the season, has applied for repechage precisely in anticipation of possible vacancies, linked in particular to the Trieste affair. The Sardinian club, by virtue of its recent history and corporate stability, would be among the main candidates to benefit from a slot, although at the moment there is no officialdom and everything will depend on federal decisions that must be clarified in the coming weeks.
