Falkensteiner Resort Lake Garda in Salò: 1000 Miglia with a special sponsor

Falkensteiner Hotels & Residences took part in a special initiative organized on the occasion of the start of the 1000 Miglia, one of the most iconic events in the international automotive scene. The event was another opportunity to strengthen the Group’s ties with the Garda area in view of the opening of the new Falkensteiner Resort Lake Garda in Salò, a five-star facility surrounded by nature and designed to combine wellness, design and enhancement of the lake landscape.
This edition of the race is gaining appreciation for the technical level and quality of the participants. Among the protagonists are Loris Capirossi and Giancarlo Fisichella, while Riccardo Patrese was also present at the start. The crews, who arrived from 33 different countries, are engaged along a nearly 2,000-kilometer route that includes 144 time trials and eight media trials.
After departing from Brescia, the cars crossed Val Trompia and Val Gobbia, stopping in Lumezzane for the first race lunch. The route then continued through Val Sabbia, Lake Garda and Valtenesi, before entering Veneto and reaching Padua, site of the first day’s finish line.
In the second stage, the crews crossed the peninsula from east to west, passing through Ferrara, Modena and Reggio Emilia. Then the cars faced the climb to the Abetone Pass before the descent to Montecatini Terme.
The journey will then continue through some of Tuscany’s most picturesque locations, with passes through Lucca, Pietrasanta, Pisa, Pontedera and Peccioli. After the planned stop in Siena’s historic Piazza del Campo, the caravan will reach Rome by crossing the Val d’Orcia and skirting the lakes of Bolsena and Vico.
The fourth day will instead mark the beginning of the return northward, with stops in Terni, Foligno, Assisi, Gualdo Tadino and Gubbio, before passing through the Furlo Gorge and the Republic of San Marino and arriving in Rimini.
The last leg will finally take the crews from Cervia and Ferrara to Mantua, before the final return to Brescia. The last controls will be carried out between Guidizzolo, Castiglione delle Stiviere and Montirone, before the long-awaited arrival on the historic ramp of Viale Venezia, where an edition that once again combines sport, tradition and passion for motors will end.
