New York Knicks, NBA Champions: Josh Hart’s Redemption—The Player Nobody Wanted

The New York Knicks have won the NBA title after a 53-year wait. Everyone is celebrating the talent of Jalen Brunson, the Big Apple’s new hero. OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns are also frequently mentioned, as they were instrumental in the triumphant run.
Yet there is one player on the roster who literally gave his all to help the team win: Josh Hart. At 31, after a long journey through the NBA, the former Villanova Wildcat (just like Jalen Brunson and Mikal Bridges) has managed to prove himself as an NBA championship-caliber player.
“The only thing I’ve always said is that I wanted to win. I wanted to win a championship at the highest level. I’ve been doubted so many times: traded, I’ve been through so many tough times, I’ve had, I don’t know, seven or eight different coaches. Then I found a home in New York, where I was welcomed for the person I am, for the player I am. I’m not perfect, obviously. I make a lot of mistakes. But I try to give my all. I try to do everything I can to help the team win. I don’t care about points. I don’t care about those things. I’m willing to sacrifice anything for this city, for this jersey, for this franchise,” said Josh Hart, as reported by ESPN.
He’ll also be part of the parade organized by the New York Knicks to celebrate winning the NBA championship. The celebration is scheduled for Thursday, with the city ready to celebrate its new heroes, including Josh Hart.
