A prestigious honor for ski champion Federica Brignone. On Wednesday, July 1, the Italian star will be received by Milan Mayor Beppe Sala in the Sala dell’Orologio at Palazzo Marino, the City Hall, where she will be awarded the city’s highest honor in recognition of her historic competitive achievements at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics.

The reception will take place at 10 a.m. After suffering a serious injury in April 2025, Brignone managed to return to the slopes and compete in the Games, winning two extraordinary gold medals in the Super-G and Giant Slalom.

Following the celebrations and official recognitions, Brignone has already resumed her busy schedule. In early June, she participated as a brand ambassador in the first edition of the River&Peaks Gravel Race Powered by Dolomia, in Claut, in the province of Pordenone, where she presented awards to the winners of the cycling race and took part in a talk dedicated to recounting her Olympic season.

On the sporting front, the Italian Winter Sports Federation has announced that the champion from Valle d’Aosta has not yet finalized her preseason training program; her participation in the summer training camp in Ushuaia, Argentina, is still to be determined, unlike her teammates Sofia Goggia, Marta Bassino, and Laura Pirovano, who have already confirmed their participation in South America. The Italian athlete will follow a personalized program based on the condition of her leg.
