Luca Banchi is the new coach of SIG Strasbourg

Luca Banchi, as of Wednesday, is the new head coach of SIG Strasbourg. This was announced by the transalpine club itself, which currently, after eight days of the championship, occupies the last position in the LNB, with only one win against seven losses.

The Tuscan coach himself, who will retain the role of Latvian national team selector, explained why he decided to say yes to the proposal: “For me it is a great honor to associate my name with a prestigious organization such as SIG Strasbourg,” he told the club’s official channels. “I am aware of the need to give new impetus to the team, in such a delicate period.

“I will provide all my desire and experience to bring the club back to the level it deserves,” he added. “I look forward to greeting the fans of SIG Strasbourg and helping the team become competitive again.
