Francesco Gabbani wants to get Jannik Sinner to sing: “He’s really nice”

The programming schedules for Sky and Now’s new, packed season were unveiled in Milan: Sportal.it conducted an exclusive interview with Francesco Gabbani, the singer-songwriter who has been confirmed as a judge on *X Factor* following a successful first stint. “Jannik Sinner is really likable. I’m a huge fan of Jannik because, of course, behind every great champion there’s always a person. In my opinion, it’s no coincidence that he’s the champion he is—he’s a person of integrity, someone who keeps his feet on the ground even though he’s obviously on top of the world.”

“Of course, I’d love to think about hitting a few balls with him. I don’t think I’m up to it, but we’ll give it a try. Should we get him to sing? Maybe, yes—he’s probably a better singer than I am a tennis player, even though I’m from Carrara just like the great Lorenzo Musetti,” he added.

“I’m happy to be back this year for my second season of X Factor,” he continued. Let’s just say that after the experience of the first year, I’m coming back with a bit more awareness. Because last year was obviously a completely new adventure, with everything that comes with figuring things out as you go. This year, however, I’m more aware, so I’m approaching it with greater peace of mind.”

“I think I’ll also be able to support the young talents we’ll be evaluating with greater composure,” he concluded.
